Meredith Rose is a senior manager at Accenture in the Network Services’ organization. Meredith is presently based in the UK and responsible for the Network Services for the NCEE (North, Central and Eastern Europe) Delivery Centres within the IO (Infrastructure Outsourcing Unit). Meredith has a BA degree in History and Political Science from Atlantic Christian/Barton College in North Carolina. He received his initial training in electronics/telecommunications while in the military and has since been active in network infrastructure design/implementation and support. Meredith joined the Accenture organization in 1974 in Frankfurt, Germany and moved into IT /Systems department as office administration activities became automated.

While in Germany Meredith was responsible for IT support and building the rapidly evolving network infrastructure for Accenture in Germany to support the business. He transferred to the more technical focused daughter organization, Coritel, in 1989 to manage the Regional Data Centre in Germany, which consisted of financial, and resource management applications running on local and remote mainframe computer systems. Meredith returned to the main Accenture organization in 1994 and was responsible for the Western European wide area network and voice telecommunication’s infrastructure. In 1998 Meredith transferred to the UK to manage the UK telecommunication’s network. Shortly after joining the UK practice Meredith was requested to lead the EMEA arm of the Global Network Services’ Engineering and Deployment Organization. In November of 2007 Meredith transferred to the Global Delivery Organization within Infrastructure Outsourcing to his present European role as Network Lead within the NCEE Delivery Centre.

Meredith is very active in several network user group organizations. He participant of the BT Global Customer Forum and MPLS Forum; EVUA representative to the Vodafone Customer Advisory Board; associate member of INTUG; board member ( Chairman) of the EVUA (Enterprise Virtual Private Network User Association) and member of the Mobility SIG.

Meredith is married (Julia) and has two children, Edward and Katie. He enjoys sailing, biking, tennis and traveling as well as supporting his son’s local football (soccer) team.

Since joining Unisys (formerly Burroughs) in 1966 as a systems analyst Dave has been involved in many areas of IT including Systems Development Manager, Data Centre Manager and IT Manager for the UK operation.

More recently he has specialised in telecommunications and as European Telecommunications Manager for the Global Infrastructure Group was responsible for managing the relationship with the suppliers of network products and services in support of the Unisys global network. 

Currently Dave is working as a Project manager within the Business Enabling Technology team (BETT) aka Unisys Global IT.

Dave is married with three children.

Guy has an Electronics engineering and Telecoms background, and has worked for Ericsson, AT&T, Lucent and Telecom Italia before joining Cisco in 1997 in the IT area as Europe Vendor Manager.

He lives near Mechelen, north of Brussels, with his wife, Marian and daughters Jil and Meg. His hobbies include wine making and tasting, and cycling.

Jean-Marc Reynaud
Network and Telecom Strategy Manager

Jean-Marc Reynaud is the Network and Telecom Strategy manager for the Renault & Nissan Group. In this position, he is in charge of developing new telecom architecture and services. He is responsible for operating all telecom activities where common use between Renault and Nissan and adds value by boosting performance and reducing costs.

Jean-Marc elaborates the master plan on how network technologies and solutions provide an integrated network infrastructure that supports Renault & Nissan business requirements and needs. He is also in charge of telecommunications and networks global cost and budget control.

Prior to that, Jean-Marc was responsible for the management of network change projects, projects planning and roll-out.

Jean-Marc started his career in France-Telecom spending three years on public voice networking.

He has engineering degrees from the Institut National des Telecommunications at Paris.

Heinrich (alias Henry) is responsible for strategy development and what is called “Channel Management “ i.e. technology or business issues which do not (yet) have an explicit owner for the Amadeus Network Services Division. Henry has been in the IT industry since 1985 with previous occupations at Digital Equipment Corporation as well as a Freelance Consultant.

Henry worked for many years in the System Management, Communication and Collaboration Development, IT Project Management and Data and Telecommunication Engineering areas. In his current role he is also acting as an interface between Amadeus Management and Industry Analysts concerning network strategies and applying solutions to the Amadeus environment.

A strong advocate of IP-based technologies and a supporter of Internet substitution, which has enabled Amadeus to reduce telecom spending by more then 70% throughout the last 4 years (despite constant growth of bandwidth requirements). He regularly attends RIPE meetings in order to keep up with “what will be next” on the Internet.

Henry is married with two children.

Non-Board Members

Managing Director, Ed Vonk, formerly of Shell Services International

Ed graduated from University (The Hague, Haarlem and Amsterdam) with degrees in Radio Communications, Computer Engineering and Business Management. He joined the Civil Aviation Authorities in 1970 where he was made responsible for Instrument Landing systems and navigation aids flight-testing. He left this service in 1980 for a job with the Dutch carrier KPN. After 5 years working for KPN he left for a more exciting job as telecommunications advisor/project leader for the Royal Dutch Shell group. He has worked on various telecommunication projects, amongst others, in Libya, Morocco, Egypt, Gabon, Bangladesh, Nepal, Syria, Columbia and Norway.

Ed was and is still active in various user forums such as the European ISDN User Forum, the Telecommunication Foundation of Africa and the EVUA. He was an EVUA member from 1994 and held the post of Chairman for two years, until leaving Shell, in 2004. Ed is a part time lecture on various telecommunications and IT contracting courses and editorial board member of a telecommunications magazine.

Ed is married with two sons living in the old town of Delft. His active hobbies are cycling to his work or to do fitness training in the evening. If not active, he likes to collect and repair antique clocks.

John was co-founder of the EVUA in 1992 and chairman from 1992 to 1995, and was co-founder of EVUA Ventures in 1999. He previously worked for IBM, Xerox, EDS and Fujitsu as both user network manager and marketing support manager. John was also a representative and head of the users division of the American Chamber of Commerce in Brussels, a group which was very influential in the establishment of the EVUA.

John was instrumental in developing many of the services provided to EVUA members, and led the team that established the joint venture with Ovum in 2005. John is now Director of the Ovum JV and heads the Benchmarking and ICT Strategies Special Interest Groups.

John lives in Henley-on-Thames in the UK. He is married to Edwina and has one daughter and one granddaughter. His hobbies include playing squash/tennis/bridge and watching soccer/rugby.

Jon was responsible for telecommunications at a major multi-national for 10 years and has been in the IT industry for more than 25 years.

Jon worked for many years in the mainframe systems programming area, both in the UK and US but then moved into telecommunications. He managed and implemented an IP Telephony solution across 200 locations globally and managed global networking R&D with focus of Next Generation Network products to replace legacy voice, video and data networks. Jon has experience in building business cases and leading vendor selection activities, most notably running a unique vendor selection summit in the US, following an RFP process with key vendors. The result was a global vendor was chosen within one week where savings from a global deployment were in excess of $100m.

Jon has considerable commercial experience having negotiated contracts with various large telecommunications and other IT vendors.

Jon is also an active member of a number of vendor advisory councils and a regular speaker at telecommunication industry events both in Europe and the US.

He is married with three children.

Colin has over 35 years experience in telecommunications having held management positions with a number of major organisations, including Marks & Spencer, Anixter International, Sun Alliance Insurance Group and Swiss Bank Corporation International.

He joined Andersen in October 1992 where, as EMEIA Director of Telecommunications, he was responsible for telecommunications strategy and planning throughout EMEIA. Whilst at Andersen, he was a board member of EVUA and led the EVUA Wireless Special Interest Group.

An independent consultant since 2001, he is currently working on a number of assignments for multi-national clients, providing support to the EVUA Board and Mobility Special Interest Group as well as consultancy for EVUA members.

He is a Member of the Institute of Administrative Management, the Communications Management Association, and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.

Colin is married and has two children and two step-children.

After graduating in 3D design, Luci took a change in direction towards telecoms. Working for Unilever Telecommunications Services, Luci created publicity and training documents, developed an intranet site and was involved in Y2K business continuity planning.

Moving to Emap, Luci became Technical Project Manager for the UK’s largest B2B magazine's website, responsible for managing a team of web administrators, hosting, maintenance and development.

Since 2002, Luci has been building and maintaining websites for local businesses, specialising in e-commerce.

Sue has over 20 years experience in the Conference and Finance Industry. For 14 years Sue worked for the Yankee Group Europe. She left in 1999 having attained the position of Conference/Finance Director in order to set up Ace Conferences & Events Ltd. Sue has spent the last seven years as event manager for the EVUA conferences.

Sue is married to Pete, has three adult children and two grandsons.
